I am excited to offer Minimusic group classes! This is a course for young beginners (age 5-7) and will be limited to 3-4 students per class.  Classes are held once a week and are 60 minutes in length. Music theory concepts are taught in a fun and engaging age appropriate way through games, songs, and activities that allow students to get up and move around!  After completing the course, students are well-prepared for traditional music lessons and learn at a faster pace.  For more information, see:  https://minimusic.net

  Concepts taught in the program include:

• Instrument Families
   - Strings, Woodwinds, Percussion, Brass, and Keyboard
• Rhythm
   - notes, rests, steady beat
• Pitch
   - high and low, sing a variety of songs
• Basic Keyboard Skills
   - identify keys of the piano
• Music Reading - music alphabet, music staff, music symbols, intervals (distances between notes)
