Wendy's Piano Studio LLC

Welcome!  

I’m Wendy, and my piano studio is located in my home in West Jordan, Utah.   I am dedicated to enriching the lives of my students through the art of piano playing. Through creating music, students expand their cognitive abilities, enhancing memory, problem-solving, and multitasking skills. Furthermore, music lessons fosters creativity, emotional expression, individuality and imagination. Most importantly, I believe music education should be enjoyable and rewarding to the student, and that students will find greater enjoyment when they are successful.

My teaching approach focuses on helping students achieve success in a positive environment through three main components or "keys to mastery" in each lesson:  Technique/Keyboard Skills, Sightreading Repertoire, and Music Theory. Lessons include individual instruction as well as a music lab with the innovative Piano Marvel software program, and virtual theory assignments.  Because students benefit when they not only learn how to play music, but when they also learn how to create, composition and improvisation skills are also essential components of my program. 

I am a longstanding member of the Music Teachers National Association and the Utah Music Teachers Association, and I bring over 23 years of teaching experience to my studio. A highlight on the musical calendar is our studio recitals, where my students take center stage in solo and ensemble performances, sharing their progress and passion with family, friends, and peers. In addition, our annual mall ensemble concert, sponsored by the Sandy Chapter of the Utah Music Teachers Association, provides a unique platform for collaborative musical expression.  Students are encouraged to participate in performances as I believe that sharing one's talents plays a pivotal role in personal development.
